Works Synopsis

ANZAC Day is a day to commemorate the soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand Army (referred to as the ANZAC) who died in the Battle of Gallipoli on April 25, 1915. On April 25, 1915, the Anzac landed in Gallipoli in the Turkish Aegean Gulf, but due to navigation errors, the beaches and small slopes that the army had expected unexpectedly turned into the bottom of the cliff. The coalition forces retreated after an eight-month stalemate, leaving tens of thousands of dead soldiers. The war has caused many families to lose their loved ones. ANZAC Day is always a sad memory…

The annual April 25th, ANZAC Day is now set as a public holiday in Australia and New Zealand to commemorate the brave spirit of soldiers who sacrificed for the country. Anzac Day is one of the most important festivals in the two countries. On that day, various cities and towns across the country will have celebration parades starting in the early morning. There will usually be military parades, veterans memorials, cemeteries, flowers, and martyrs. I miss the Australian soldiers who lost their lives in these two world wars. The Anzac Day parade has also been recorded in the national heritage since 2006.

On this day, people stood on both sides of the road, waving to the veterans and marchers who marched.

ANZAC Day embodies Australia’s values, sacrifice, dedication, honor, responsibility and commitment. There are also inheritance from generation to generation.

In 1934, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk wrote a famous letter to Australian mothers. The letter said, “They lost their precious lives here and became sons of this land.” Remembering history is not for Hatred; let the spirit of the veteran be inherited by someone.

As the years go by, there are fewer and fewer surviving veterans. As a photographer, it is also a responsibility to do his best to photograph this memorable subject…
